Cockburn gets connected with the NBN rollout!

There is exciting news for residents in Cockburn with the Federal Government‘s announcement that it will dramatically increase the number of homes connected to the National Broadband Network.

The three year rollout across Fremantle, Cockburn and Melville will see around 76,000 homes and businesses connected to National Broadband Network fast and reliable broadband by 30 June 2016.

Federal Member or Fremantle, the Hon. Melissa Parke has welcomed the announcement.

“We are connecting all homes and business to the NBN at no cost to the user because we believe that everyone deserves access to the NBN”, Ms Parke said.

“The NBN is the key to Australia’s future education and productivity improvements.” 

Suburbs in the City of Cockburn in line for the rollout plan include: Atwell, Aubin Grove, Banjup, Beeliar, Cockburn Central, Coogee, Coolbellup, Hammond Park, Hamilton Hill, Henderson, Jandakot, Leeming, Munster, North Coogee, North Lake, South Lake, Spearwood, Success, Wattleup and Yangebup.
